Some 45 ramblers turned up for this relatively long walk.
Starting from Mosta Dome, we headed towards l-Ghadira tal-Wej and the Dolmen ta’ Wied Filep.
Afterwards, we descended and crossed Wied il-Ghasel, skirted Fort Mosta, crossed the Burmarrad Plain and had a small break near the pill-box just under Gebel Ghazwara. Then we headed towards Wardija Ridge through Wied Qannotta, till we reached Pwales where we had a longish rest.
We then crossed Bajda Ridge through the Roman Road and succeeded in finding a large natural cave on the Mellieha Ridge, before reaching Mellieha’s Parish Church via il-Wied ta’ Gnien Ingraw.
